A first fire!

On Thursday 7th July 2022, a fire was lit in the Stanier Mogul’s firebox for the first time in nearly a decade. A further fire will be lit on Friday and, assuming no major issues arise, this will soon be followed by the boiler’s formal steam test. It’s not so long until the boiler and chassis can be reunited!
