The tender is in the workshop coincidentally stabled behind the loco. They were not coupled, but were close enough to chat about the good old days.
The trailing end of the loco. The Tuesday gang has made much progress in drilling out the rivets securing the bottom plate section, which is to be replaced. The rivets have to be replaced temporarilly by bolts and nuts as this is the means of moving the loco when needed. The horizontal component secured by four bolts and nuts contains the hole for the drawbar pin, so it too must be left in place.
